Cultivating a safe place for neighbourhood youth to grow

WHAT IS

ACCEL is an adaptation of the RE/ACT program specifically designed to suit the needs of youth between the ages of 12-17 years. It is offered in a broad range of learning formats (including in-person, video, group activities and games) and learning styles (visual, auditory, relational, and kinesthetic learning).

What is the course like?

ACCEL builds on the innovations of RE/ACT – exploring and finding healing from the complex trauma that shapes our lives

The ACCEL program spans over 8 weeks and consists of engaging and interactive sessions. Each week, participants attend a Monday afterschool session focusing on one of eight themes. Additionally, the program offers outdoor activities on the weekends, such as hiking, horseback riding, and skateboarding lessons. These activities provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on and reinforce what they have learned during the week. It creates a supportive environment where individuals can process their experiences together.

Ongoing support is available through coaches, and monthly alumni meetings.
